From April 7th 2025, the rates are as follows:
The higher rate is £110.40 a week, that’s over £478 a month or £956 per couple!! This is for people who need help or supervision during the day and night, or if they are terminally ill.
The lower rate is £73.90 a week, that’s over £320 a month or £640 per couple!! This is for people who need help or supervision during the day or night.
Any money you do receive doesn't need to be spent on your care.

No, Pension Age Disability Payment is not means-tested, which means your income, savings and assets will not affect your eligibility or the amount you receive.
How do I secure my Pension Age Disability Payment?
You can apply for Pension Age Disability Payment yourself through Social Security Scotland online, by phone or by post. The application is in two parts and can be complex to complete.

If successful, your payments will be made every 4 weeks into your bank, building society or credit union account.
